Hiya. I'm Jack! I'm a 20 year old from South-East Missouri. I'm pansexual and genderfluid (pronouns he/him and she/her). Currently I am obtaining my Associates degree in community college and I am planning to move up to getting my Bachelor;s in Audio Production. Music has been a huge part of my life. I play guitar and keyboard and I am a member of a grunge cover band called The Project and most recently, I joined a metalcore band named Failure to Be. My biggest musical influences are Jack White, J. Mascis, David Bowie, and Jack Stauber. I've always loved music but it has taken me a while to find what fit me the best; over the past year I have really gravitated towards noise rock, blues, and grunge with Dinosaur Jr., The Pixies, and The White Stripes being my most listened to artists.
Hopefully I am able to keep this site updated and interesting. Keep in mind that the primative look is due to my poor CSS skills as well as wanting to keep an authentic Geocities (now Neocities) feel! Feel free to look around or give me a shout!

Music Specs I love music but I also love trinkets and knowing what other people have/use! So I thought it would be fun to make a post about my music specs. This isn't everything just the stuff I find most important!
I use guitars depending on what the song calls for of course. My standard tuning guitar, and the one I use most, is a J. Mascis signature Jazzmaster. This one has P90 soap-bar pickups and a vintage-style floating tremolo. The other standard tuning I use is an SSS Strat from Squire. Three single-coils, a five-way tone switch and a floating tremolo; it's good for punk and brighter songs outside of the main grunge stuff I mainly play. My half-step tuning is a black Jackson Dinky with humbucker pickups and a 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge/whammy bar. I also use this guitar for C# standard tunings and drop B tunings for Failure to Be. Last but not least is my SG style guitar. This guitar has two humbucker pickups and when it comes to hardware, is the most simple of the bunch. Lately, I have mainly been using this one for alternate tunings for Failure to Be.
Amps are a much more boring subject when regarding what I own. I have two main amps: a Fender Frontman 20G which is used for at home playing and a Marshall Origin 20w tube head and 160w cabinet for live playing. While both sound good, I do prefer the british tube amp sound from the Marshall. The warmer sound gives my J. Mascis signature a far greater punch and helps it be more pronounced in a mix without being overbearing.
Now here's a fun subject for me. Tone chasing is a long meticulous process but it can be fun especially when you finally settle on the perfect tone. My main setup is a Dookie Overdrive, Behringer Distortion, a J. Mascis Ram's Head Muff, Behringer Vintage Delay, Behringer Chorus, Joyo Tremolo, Behringer Wah, and a Zoom Multi-FX pedal. As you can tell, I enjoy using different distorion, overdrive, and muff often. A fun solo tone for grunge is pushed sustain and tone at 2-3 on the Ram's Head Muff and pressing down to the full wah tone on the Wah pedal. This gives a similar harsh and abrasive tone that J. Mascis used in the album You're Living All Over Me. Of course when it comes to metalcore, I mainly use a Djent preset on my Zoom MFX.
